I suddenly began to notice that Bella’s stomach was becoming bigger, her stomach was normally flat but suddenly it began to grow.

I told her that she is pregnant, she said “no” that she ate a lot that afternoon. I kept quiet.

So, after a while in other to be very sure of my fear I told her that we should go to a chemist and buy a pregnancy test kit. We went and then I bought it and gave it to her, hoping for a good news the next morning.

As usual, we met the next morning because at that time we enjoyed going to work together. She showed me the test kit and mehn it wasn’t funny. It showed that she is pregnant 🤯🤯🤯

We became troubled, we didn’t bargain for that but nonetheless it was our own action and we must face everything that comes with it. I told her to tell her parents but she said “No” that she will prefer her mother to find out by herself.

We then began planning on how things will go on after the both families find out. We planned on how we can stay together, how we can sponsor ourselves through our salaries and side hustles we do. We became happy once again but anytime we remember that our parents would soon know about the pregnancy, we became troubled.

The man we both the test kit from advised me to go for abortion since it was definitely and unwanted pregnancy. I told him I will get back to him when I have discussed it with my sister, yea i told him Bella is my sister so as not to create any further issues.

But abortion wasn’t an option for us even though we considered it for just 5mins. But it wasn’t an option. Abortion is so wrong. If we make mistake, it is better to face the consequences than to kill an innocent child because of our own mistakes. It will definitely hunt us for the rest of our lives. So, we decided to keep the baby.

That period was a stressful one. Bella had to start wearing some jackets and pull overs just to cover the stomach for a while but trust the community women. Some had already noticed and talks had already spread but we gave all of it a deaf ear.

My mother noticed also that Bella was becoming fairer and some physical changes were sprouting out. She asked Bella if she was pregnant Bella told her she changed cream that’s why she is getting fairer but my Mom was more than sharp but she didn’t push on.
