The Late Rescue 🧡
Lothaire stood motionless in shock at what he was seeing. His eyes turned bloodshot.
The whole cave turned ice, from the wall to the floor.
“W-ho are you”? The slim guy stuttered in fright as he stared at the man and the frozen cave.
Lothaire didn’t pay attention him as he focused on freezing the guy that was about to defile Heaven.
He shuddered as he though of what would have happened if he was a second late.
The other men shuddered in fright when they saw their senior brother being frozen.
They both had the same thought. “Who the h3ll is this man”?!
“Heaven I’m sorry I’m late”! Lothaire said in a hoarse voice as he took off his silk traditional jacket to cover her.
” I waited for you Lothaire, I had hopes that you would save me, but you didn’t come when I needed you the most. “I hate you”! Heaven said with her last breath.
“I’m sorry”! For the first time, tears fell from Lothaire’s eyes.
“Master…”!
Estaevan and the group of soldiers following him, halted immediately they saw their surrounding.
Lothaire sniffed and carried the bleeding Heaven delicately in his arms. “Bring them back, to the torture room”. He spoke coldly, and walked away without sparing them a glance.
“Yes Master”. Estaevan and the others spoke simultaneously.
The guys who were supposed to plead for mercy, were too shocked to even notice that Lothaire had left.

“How is she”? Lothaire asked for the nth time.
“My Prince if you keep asking, I’ll be distracted “. The physician spoke @ngrily.
He stretched his hand to open Heaven’s mouth, only for his hand to be caught by Lothaire.
“What are you trying to do”? Lothaire stared at the old man consciously.
“You foolish boy! What are you thinking? I’m only trying to check her injury and patch it up”! Old man Chan scolded.
Lothaire still had the guarded look on, but he slowly released the hand of the physician.
After an hour of trying, he successfully patched up all the injuries, with the one on her tongue taking much time because he had to do it carefully so as not to cause her more pain.
“All done! For the next one to two weeks she shouldn’t take any hot or spicy food. Her food should be very plane”. Old man Chan instructed.
“Her heart beat is out of ordinary. Did she experience any harmful event? Perhaps the cause of her energy”? He asked again.
Hearing the question, Lothaire’s heart squeezed painfully. Guilt gnawed his heart.
“I thought you said you won’t have anything to do with me”? Old man Chan said teasingly.
He had been meaning to say this since he stepped into the building, but he waited till the important matter was over, before he brought it up.
Lothaire released chilled air, but retracted it when he remembered that it was futile against this old monk. Also he isn’t want Heaven to catch cold.
“Well I thought you also said that you won’t answer even if I call”? He sneered at the man.
” Ahem”. The old man coughed awkwardly. ” You should allow her to rest and get food ready for her when she wakes up. He said and quickly fled.
Lothaire walked to the maid quarters.
“M-my Prince”! The maids stuttered in fright.
“Prepare porridge without pepper for my fiance. Make sure it’s cold before you serve it”. Lothaire stared at them with disinterest as he spoke. Since Heaven came, this is the first time the maids are coming to cook.
He walked away to his training ground then opened a secret door, and walked down the stairs to the basement.
“Master”! The people there Bowes in unison.
” Sam go and monitor the maids and make sure that they serve my fiancee cold porridge without pepper “. Lothaire said to the ‘Sam’ guy, and walked to the cell in the middle and stares at the people in there like they were all dead people.
Estaevan quickly opened the cell and Lothaire walked in and sat on the stool there.
“Who sent you”? His cold voice resounded in the whole place.
“Please spare us”? The slim guy pleaded with snot all over his face, as a result of crying.
Estaevan shivered as his mind wandered to a certain event that took place.
“The last person that said that, had a spare trusted in his heart. Wake him up”! Lothaire pointed to the guy that assaulted Heaven earlier.
“You will tell me what I want to hear after that I’ll torture you till I’m satisfied then I’ll kill you”. Lothaire stared at them with unconcealed @nger
“Who are you”? The boss who has just been woken asked.
Lothaire sent him a flying kick.
“I do the talking and all you have to do is reply”!
“Now what’s your name”?
“And you think I’ll tell you”? The man spat out a mouthful of blood, and stared at him smugly.
“H-is his name is Brad, my name Evan and his name is Hansen”. The slim guy spoke without being asked.
“Hmm… I like people like you”. Lothaire smiled.
The slim guy who is Evan, was happy because he thought that he would be freed.
“… Because you are easy to torture”! Lothaire smiled evilly.
” Alright let’s get started, my fiancee is waiting “!

“Lady Heaven the Second Prince said you should eat this”. A maid placed the tray of food on the table and stared at Heaven who looked absent minded.
Heaven on the other hand only had on though in mind. ‘did he succeed’? Because if he did, then there is no point of living!
Heaven stared at the maid staring at her unblinkingly, and sighed. “Please leave. I don’t want any disturbance”! She said coldly.
The maid skipped away in fright.
Lothaire paced around the hallway, thinking of how to face Heaven. The last thing he wanted was to see hate in her eyes. He still remember her last words and it’s still weighing heavily in his heart.
“But I have to check up on her”. He muttered under his breath, and finally decided to go in.
Heaven stared at the intruder, and an undescribable feeling washed over her. She didn’t know how to react with him around.
Honestly, she didn’t want him around her. At least not yet!
“H-how a-are you doing”? Lothaire stuttered nervously. The way she stared at him made him scared.
“Did that man do anything to me”? Heaven asked in a cold voice.
“Huh? N.. no he didn’t do anything”. Lothaire answered in a silly manner.
“Oh okay. Anyway I’m fine. I’ll have to trouble you to stay in your house for the time being as I have no were to go but…..”
“What nonsense are you talking about? If you don’t want me here I’ll go but you have to make sure to eat your food. Don’t forget that here is your home to after all we will soon be married”!
” Then while I’m here please don’t act like you know me or come close to. I want it to be as if I’m living alone.
“And the marriage for the time being, is unsettled……”
