She checked the titles of each books, whining happily.

“OMG, they are all wisan’s novels and I love her books” She said.
Ok, why are they having similar things.

The bell for school dismissal rang and I sighed, it was as if today shouldn’t even come to an end.

“By the way, no lectures or classes took place today ” Paulina said.

“Yeah, today is kind of a lecture free day but tomorrow won’t be like that” I told her while we headed to the class to get somethings and leave.

“It’s nice meeting you Frank” She said and I felt like my head is gonna grow bigger like a balloon.

“Same here Paulina”

“Uhm? So we’ve spent half of the day together and you couldn’t even ask of where I stay, so you could come pay me a visit or something but anyways I stay at coker’s avenue” She said.

Unbelievable.
I think I’m the luckiest guy on earth this money.

“I stay at coker’s avenue too” I almost jubilated.

“Really? ”

“I stay at 33,coker’s avenue” I told her.

“Oh” She mouthed; “I stay at 8,coker’s avenue” She said.

“Oh, that’s kinda far from mine but whatever, we stay at the same avenue. My driver would be here soon or might be here already, do you mind if I give you a lift? ” I asked her.

And lo, my driver was around.

Angela’s POV.

Didn’t he say he would come see me soon? I waited.
I want to ask him what he would love me to get him as a birthday present.

I couldn’t just leave the library just like that, I needed to wait for everyone to leave first they are already doing so except that some were sluggish and it was frustrating but being a very calm girl, I had to wait for them to all leave.

Finally I was left alone in the library. I closed the windows and locked the door then rushed down the stairs to meet Frank. He wouldn’t have left because he hasn’t given me a goodbye kiss or bid me bye.

While rushing, I mistakenly skipped a step and I was gonna fall on the rest of the stairs.. I tried to regain my stamina but I couldn’t… I fell down…down? on the floor… Floor?
It was more comfortable than a pillow. I opened my eyes, I shut it earlier b’cos I thought I was gonna roll down the stairs and it scared me to the marrow of my bones.

I was staring at a familiar looking guy’s face.- James
James? He is my very quiet classmate.

“Oh, thank you very much James” I said when I got an hold of myself.

“My pleasure” He said and I wanted to take my leave.

“Are you leaving? Did you lock the library doors? ” He asked me.

“Yeah, I’m done for today. By the way, why did you ask? ” I asked him.

“I wanted to return this book and lend another one” He said.. I didn’t even realise he was holding a book untill he said so. “But since you are done for today and it seems like you are in a hurry to go somewhere and see someone, then tomorrow” He said.

Why am I rushing? Afterall, Frank won’t leave without coming to see me first and he doesn’t fail promises.

“Er.. Come get it” I said and began to climb the stairs back.

“What were you in hurry to get? Are you sure you are just gonna make it wait? ” James asked me while he climbed the stairs too, behind me.

“Well… ” I just said and we got to the entrance door and I began to unlock it.

“By chance, is Frank the guy you were rushing to meet? ” He asked and I was somehow shocked, how could he tell? Well, it’s an easy answer.

“Yeah” I answered and opened the door.. Then we walked in.

“He already left” James said.

“Huh?? ” I exclaimed not believing him.

“Yeah, he was with.. He was in a haste” He added.

Ohk, that would be the only reason why he must have left without informing me first. But what made him leave hastily?
…..and how about the newbie, Paulina or whatever she said her name is. I haven’t seen her too… Who cares anyways?

“Thanks” I said to James and he smiled and nodded gently.

“What book do you wanna lend? ” I asked him.

“Ghosteens” He said.

Whao! Who would be so eager to read an horror story? Even the title itself sound so horrific.
I went to it category to get the book then soon returned to give it to him.

“Ghosteen, here it is” I said handling over the book to him.
He was staring at me yet he didn’t see me give him a book.

“Hey here, the book you demanded for” I waved the book at his face.

“Oh.. Oh.. I’m sorry…I.. I was lost for a moment” He apologized and I chuckled as he received the book from me.

“Why won’t you be, when all you do is to read horror stories” I said and he bhrsted into laughter.

“Well…. ”

"Well what? "

“Ok, you win but that’s just me. Lover of horror movies and stories” He said.

“Why on earth will I decide to watch or read horror movies or stories when there are thousands of romantic and love movies and stories” I told him.

“Well, I don’t believe in romance or love. In a simple word, I don’t believe in that four letters” He said.

“You don’t believe love exist? ” I asked him..now enjoying his company.

“Well, I know it does but it hurt alot” He answered.

“What? ”

“One sided love hurts alot” He added.

That’s very true. I haven’t been a witness but I have read a book whereby a girl wanted her bestfriend to love her back just the same way she did. ‘More than a friend’ I think that’s the title. Good thing, her best friend got to notice her some day and the story had a lovely ending.

“That’s why you don’t believe in Love? ” I asked, looking up to him because he was tall and all he did was to just nod and smile.

“I have read stories of similar one sided cases and it ended well. I hope yours well too someday” I told him.

“Yeah, someday. I’m still patiently waiting for that day”

I picked up the books and neatly arranged them back into the shelfs; sad and lost in thought.
The Frank I spoke to earlier is very different from the one I spoke with this morning – totally different.
When I was done arranging the books, I sat down mindlessly.

“Hey girlfriend” It was Gabriella, my best friend.

“Gabriella” I cried out her name.

“Oh my God, are they still together? ”

“Er..yeah”

“Well, not only Frank but all the guys. Our classmates are drooling over her even some girls are already wishing they were guys or lesbians. I’m sure you won’t want to imagine that, I had to leave the class for good, she could bewitch me too if I don’t”

“I thought you were gonna throw away our three years relationship away like that. Do you even know that my mom has been imagining our wedding day in her head? How do you expect her to feel when she finds out that one girl juts came in between us” I half-yelled coldly.

“It would.. It would never happen again” He said and held my both hands, intertwined then his his as he stared into my eyes.
I think Gabriella is right, Frank is still mine.

“I’m sorry okay? ” He apologised once more then I finally smiled.

“Apology accepted” I told him.

He stood on his feet and made me stand too, then he gently pulled me himself and hugged me then gave a short kiss on my lips.

“Can I ask you for something?” He asked me

“Of course, go on. Anything for you baby” I replied smiling.

“Will you.. Mmm, will you lend me that novel? ”

“What novel? ”

“Paradise on earth”

I was kinda shocked, I mean Frank isn’t a story lover or wait, does he wanna give it to Paulina? No, he can’t.

“Why? ” I asked him.

“My brother, Freddie is visiting home soon and you know, he loves novels and magazines more than anything else. I… I just wanted to surprise him with a novel” He said, rushing all his words to an extent that I can’t even figure out if he is telling lies or not but why would he lie to me?

“You mean Freddie will be home soon? ” I exclaimed.

“Ye..ah”

“Then let me hand over to you more than one novel. He is sure gonna love them” I said and rushed over to the shelfs and made several pick. –
I’m in love with an housemaid, Love or revenge, Young couple, The story of us, Desired love, confused boyfriend and lastly Paradise on earth.

Frank’s POV

I stood there and watched her move from shelfs to shelfs picking different novels.
OMG am I this good at lying that she couldn’t even tell that I was telling lies.
But I wasn’t lying about Freddie, he is my twin brother, my non-identical brother and he loves novels. He promised to come spend some days with me and would go back few days after our birthday.
So it was half truth, half lies.

But, I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I’m not trying to break Angela’s heart. I still really love her and somehow I’m so attracted to Paulina, her charming beauty did the magic.

“Here” She dropped some books on the table.

One, two, three, four, five, six and seven. Seven novels! OMG but I asked for just one.

“These are super intriguing stores by the same author. WISAN has always been my best writer” She said and here is Paradise on earth. She said pointing at the one on top of the books.

“O.. K” I said not knowing what else to say.
Then I carried the books, “Do you need my help? ” She asked.

“Oh no. Thanks darling. I’ll be right back” I said and carefully ran out of the library with the books.

I met Paulina outside..She has been waiting for me.
“Here are some very interesting novels. She gave it to me and I’m very sure you’ll love them” I told her and gave the books to her.

“Oh my Goodness Frank. You are a darling” She said while checking out the books.

“I’m sorry” He repeated now holding my two hands then I tried to put on a smile.

“Frank… Frankie? ”

Oh not again! His girlfriend is here again. I sighed as I saw her walked really fast and angrily towards us.. Frank lightly pushed me to his back then he confronted her.

“Angela, try to understand. I’m doing this because the principal asked me to” He said to her.

“And the littered books? ” She asked.

“I’ll pick them up when I return”

“Oh My God, I’m going crazy. It’s not like I cannot pick the books myself, I just wanted to have some time with you, I just want you by my side” Angela said to him.

Looks like, he’s gonna play the game again, Dots and lines, pick one. He is gonna choose between the both of us once the both of us want him by our side.

“I’ll be right back Angela” He told her and pulled me along with him then we ran – away.

I won this time, I turned to see Angela looking so despondent and downcasted. I stocked out my long and showed it to her.
Then ran along with Frank.

“You, did you just try to run away from your girlfriend with another girl” I said to him and he chuckled.

“Let’s not put it that way… I just tried to be obedient. To do what Mrs Megan asked me to do” He said.

Ok, so that’s why he is holding my hands all this while? I almost flinched.

“Let’s go” He said not even noticing I was getting upset.
I stood there like a lost puppy, staring at him from behind..
“C’mon let’s go” He said again and I reluctantly agreed for walk with him.

We paid shot visit to every rooms (Classes and labs), I was no longer interested in it, Infact I had no interest from the very start. I just wanted to be with him.
I mean, I have never been so close to a guy, even as close as five metres. So many guys avoided me like I were a shit. We’ll talk about that later.

“I’m tired” I complained when Frank told me that we are heading to the junior sections.

“Let’s have a break or let’s put an end to it” I told him.

Frank’s POV
We went to the class, it was scanty. There were just few students in class. Oh thank God, George and Tyler aren’t here too.
Even the few students that were here won’t mind their business most especially the guys. If she is gonna disappear only by the number of guys gazing at her, definitely she will.
We sat side by side.

“Your girlfriend is weird and harsh” She suddenly broke the short silence.

Why is she so concerned about this girlfriend stuff?

“She is not, she was just upset earlier” I told her.

“Upset or jealous? ” Paulina asked.

What’s that suppose to mean?

“One of the two or both” I said.

“But Frank.. ” She called my name softly and it made my heart raced.

I stared at her sparkling eyes, she was staring at mine which isn’t sparkling.

“I… I really want the novel I saw with Angela the other time” She said

“I don’t know how but I hope there’s a way you could help me get it” She said slowly and sadly.

No, I don’t like that sad look.
“Anything for you dear” I said. I swear, I didn’t know when these words escaped from my lips.

She smiled and said “Thank you Frankie”

“Anytime” I said .

“Holy Micheal ” George’s voice echoed. He was just entered the classroom when he saw us.

“Her name is Paulina” I said somewhat Jealously as I stopped him from doing what he almost did.

“Oh Okay! ” Angela taking her gaze off her and took them (her gaze) to our hands which was still interlocked. I quickly separated my hand from hers and stood like a soldier.

Trouble in paradise, Paulina held my left hand while Angela was holding my right hand.

Before she would throw her own words at Angela, I came into the story or unless these two here would fight… Over me.

“Chill Angela, she is just a new student” I said.

“So? Being a new student, does it cut off her eyes? ” Angela said.

“I am not blind” Paulina spelled. “Frankie, Francis or whatever your name is, it’s left for you to choose one of us, it’s either you agree to help her pick up the books caused by her buttless or you follow me and continue to show me around the school” Paulina said and I was dumbfounded.
“I don’t believe just any girl would make you do the work of a servant” Paulina added, smirked and folded her hand waiting for me to make a pick as if I were playing dot and line game.

“Did I hear you call me just any girl? ” Angela flinched.
Ah! There she goes.

“See who was calling me ‘deaf’” Paulina said.

Then Angela faced me and said: “Frank, won’t you say anything? This newbie here is giving me tse tse flies and you stood there saying nothing? ”

Mehn, what will I say? What should I do?

Angela gave a weird laugh and pulled me closer to herself in such a way that my left hand got released from Paulina’s hand.

“Well, Miss Newbie. You are a fool and I won’t be sorry I did called you that” Angela said. Boom!

“Fra.. nk” Paulina stammered my name, she was shocked.

“Shocked? You see, I am not just any girl but the girlfriend of the school senior prefect. While you standing here, is actually the just-any-girl” Angela concluded boldly.

Paulina stared at me with a look to kill.

“Get lost! ” Angela screamed at her… It made students rush to see what’s going on between the three of us.

Paulina didn’t say anything, she kept gazing at me with that look then turned to leave.
Angela won!

I smiled and received it willingly. Oh My Goodness, I swallowed my saliva if not, it would drop.
She is extremely beautiful and touching her soft skin, it’s heart chilling.

“Paulina, meet the school senior prefect, his name is Frank ” The principal told her.

Paulina took a good look at me and smiled again. Whao! The smile, it reminds me of Angela. Whata Beautiful smile.

“Take her around the school and tell her everything you think she needs to know” Mrs Megan is actually giving me a permission to be alone with her, this tailless marmaid. I just hope I won’t collapse?

“Staring at these tall buildings and the students roaming around, I do hope I’ll love your school” She said.

“My name is Frank Collins, I am the school senior prefect ”

“You can say that again” I said:” We are in the same class” I added not knowing what else to say – this moment.

“Here we are, the music house or room, which ever way you prefer to call it” I announced.

“Whao! Beautiful infrastructure and facilities” She commented.

“The field we passed through earlier before we got here is for gymnastics” I told her.

“I thought as much. Oh My! I love your school already ” She weened.
“The painting alone is so attractive”

“I heard the school has been existing since eight years ago and it’s being repainted annually” I told her.

“Whao! Whao! ”

I stared at her with so much interest, she is more beautiful when she smiles. I hope she will see me too as handsome?

“Show me the library please? ” She requested almost pleading.

“Sure, let’s go” I said and this time, I held her hand and walked out of the music building.
Oh I so love the touch from her skin.

“My former school, I was the school Liberian” She said and I nodded like a lizard with bone hooked in it throat.

“I love reading books so much but I won’t call myself a nerd like you” She said and we laughed as we headed towards the library.

“We are almost there” I announced.

“Less I forget, you are not done telling me about yourself” Paulina reminded.

That’s true but I don’t know what else to say..
“I… Yeah, what else should I tell you about myself? ” I asked her.

“Do you have a girlfriend? ” She asked and my eyes widened and almost bulged out.
