A Nigerian man, Uche Alua, has given his opinion on the abolishment of bride price in the country.
According to him, bride price is the main reason Nigerian men treat their wives as property.
Alua stated that if the payment of bride price is abolished, most men will respect their wives more.
“It is the primary reason why many Nigerian men treat their spouse as property. Once bride price is abolished, most men will respect their wives more,” he said on Monday.
