Frederick and Catalina walked in the hall and she couldn’t help but admire how luxurious the hall looked.

All eyes immediately diverted to them, especially Catalina. The men in hall couldn’t help but stare at her and that made their partners jealous of Catalina who was stealing the men’s attention.

Frederick hissed when he saw all the eyes on Catalina.

“I hate the way they look at you. Makes me wanna gorge out their eyes” Frederick frowned.

“Why?” Catalina looked at him.

“Because you’re mine… Only me gets to stare at you that way” Frederick said and Catalina immediately blushed, looking more pretty.

“Let’s go and sit” Frederick said and they walked to a table where some men and their respective partners could be seen discussing.

“Mrs Reynolds! What brings you here in Spain!” A man exclaimed as he shook hands with Frederick.

“Nice seeing you again” Frederick smiled.

Catalina looked at a lady and she couldn’t help but furrow her brows. The lady looked so familiar..

Her confusion cleared when the man beside her looked up. It was none other than Roman and Sandra, his girlfriend.

Roman couldn’t hide the surprised look on his face when he saw Frederick and Catalina, his eyes were more on Catalina.

At one moment he began doubting if it’s really her. She looks so beautiful and tantalizing.

“Mr Robson?” Frederick called and he diverted his gaze back to Frederick who had his hand stretched waiting for a handshake.

He slowly accepted it

“It’s been long we’ve last seen Roman. How is your company, I hope it hasn’t gone bankrupt yet. I was so worried about you that I had to ask your personnel if you didn’t die of asthma” Frederick smirked.

Roman gulped down, trying to suppress his anger. He didn’t fail to notice the sarcasm and mockery behind Frederick’s word.

And he was right. Lately his company has been losing a lot of money to Frederick’s company that’s his purpose of coming to Spain, so that he could garner some investors before his company goes bankrupt..

“I’m.. Okay” He managed to say with a smile.

“That’s good to hear” Frederick nodded.

“Meet my beautiful, able and hardworking secretary and most importantly my girlfriend… Catalina Watson” Frederick presented Catalina who smiled.

She was already getting used to him calling her his girlfriend.

“Oh my god, she’s so beautiful” One of the lady there said.

“Thank you” Catalina smiled.

Frederick pulled out a chair for her and she sat down. Frederick settled down next to her.

“Girlfriend?! What!! How!!” Roman screamed inwardly as his eyes couldn’t leave Catalina.

Sandra wasn’t left out too, she bit her lips as she stared at Frederick who looked so hot… Roman was nothing compared to Frederick in terms of money and looks.

“Just my type of guy” She thought, already fantasizing dirty things Frederick could do to her.

Catalina looked at her and frowned at how desperate she looked. She smirked and held Frederick’s arm then whispered something to his ear.

Frederick looked at her and smiled before kissing her forehead.

“Don’t they look so perfect together?” One of the men commented.

Sandra frowned and folded her fists. Catalina faced Sandra and smirked.

She stylishly raised her middle finger and mouthed “Go fck yourself btch” to Sandra.

Sandra folded her fists more tightly..

“Calvin!!” Aubrey called running after Calvin who abruptly stopped.

They were both standing on a bridge..

“I want to be alone Aubrey” Calvin said without turning to her.

“You’re not okay Calvin so I’m not leaving” Aubrey said, breathing heavily.

“I said I want to be alone!! Leave just leave!! Let me be!! How I’m I sure that you didn’t plan all these with that jerk!! Just-”

Aubrey slammed her lips on his before he could finish speaking. Calvin’s eyes widened and he slowly closed his eyes as tears cascaded down his cheek.

Aubrey broke the kiss and rested her forehead on his, starring at his teary face.

“I’ll never betray you Calvin, I love you too much to do that” She whispered and cupped his cheek.

“Just cry it out Cal…” She said and Calvin looked down as more tears poured out of his eyes, his shoulder began shaking as he cried

Aubrey hugged him and rubbed his back. He slowly hugged her back, crying on her shoulder.

“Upon all the jobs out there it had to be that,, why? What if Drake is right.. What if I’m just the product of my mother’s sinful acts.. What have I ever done to him for him to loathe me this way.. Is being poor a crime?” He cried loudly.

Aubrey cleaned her own tears and sniffed.

“Don’t think that way Cal… Even if the whole world hates you, I’m never leaving you.. No never” She rubbed his back

Catalina walked in the restroom to retouch her makeup. She finished applying it and turned to leave only to see Roman locking the door.

She crossed her arms under her chest and rolled her eyes.

“What do you want?” She asked.

“I wanted us to talk” Roman smiled.

“Cat,, I’m sorry. Please come back to me, my life has been colorless without you in my life” Roman said and made to touch her arm.

“Touch me and I swear this restroom will be your place of déad.” Catalina said and Roman stopped.

She smirked at his face and looked at him from head to toe then chuckled.

“I was seriously blind when I even accepted to date you” She shook her head and made to leave.

“Catalina please… I love you” He grabbed her hand.

Catalina turned to him and immediately raised her knee to his groin.

“Argh!!!” He groaned and went down to his knee.

“I warned you right? Touch me next time and you’ll regret it. I hate you,,, H.A.T.E.. Get that into your dumb brain!!” Catalina screamed and opened the door.

She walked out and saw Frederick coming to her.

“Catalina.. What took you so long?” Frederick asked.

“Nothing… Just some insignificant dirt I was cleaning” She said and hugged Frederick’s arm.

“The party has ended. Shall we go home?” He asked and she nodded with a smile.

And like that they both left.

Meanwhile inside the restroom Roman could be seen groaning in pain.

“You’ll pay for this Catalina.. You and that bastard called Frederick”

FEW MINUTES LATER

Catalina stared out of the car’s window as the rain poured heavily. She smiled and placed her hand on the window, watching the rain fall.

She really loves the rain. She could still remember when she was a kid, how she always plays in the rain… But all that stopped when that trauma happened.

Frederick who was driving with a one hand looked at Catalina’s wish list and sighed.

“Upon all places it had to be under the rain.” He thought and sighed.

“Things I do for love” He mumbled under his breath and suddenly stopped the car.

“What is happening? Did the car break down?” She asked but Frederick just opened the car door and he got out in the rain.

“What the hell is he doing? Should I call an asylum?” Catalina thought as Frederick walked to her side of the car and opened it.

“What… Ahh!!” She exclaimed when Frederick pulled her out of the car.

It took few seconds for the rain to badly wet their bodies.

“What are you doing!” Catalina exclaimed, glaring at him as she removed some strands of her wet hair that stuck to her face.

Frederick place one of his hand on the car while his other hand went to her waist.

“Next time you wanna write a wish list, don’t make it too complicated” Frederick muttered.

“How did-”

Her eyes bulged out and refused to close when Frederick’s lips landed on hers. She instantly froze.

Frederick kissed her? He f*cking did! It wa as if time froze for them

Frederick’s hand left the car and cupped her cheek as he kissed her soft lips slowly with his eyes closed, pouring all his affection in the kiss

His heart beat kept doubling at each passing second that he feared it might exploded.

He slowly broke the kiss to look at her shocked face. He smiled and rubbed her lips.

“Your third wish was to have your first kiss under the rain… Right? You should stop reading too much fantasy romance” Frederick chuckled and cupped his cheek, staring at her with nothing but affection in his eyes.

“I love you Catalina,, very much. If someone told me I’ll ever fall in love again with my cute silly secretary I would have denied it but here I am,,, completely whipped and heads over heels for you.” Frederick said

Catalina’s eyes widened as she stared at him. Did she hear right? Is she dreaming?

“I don’t really know what caused your phobia but I promise you that I’m never gonna leave you, let the whole world be against us.. So long as I have you by my side, I’m ready to fight any battle that’ll come our way. Catalina,, will you be my girlfriend for real this time” Frederick said and tears fell from Catalina’s eyes.

Catalina immediately wrapped her arms round his neck and reconnected back their lips. Frederick smiled and held her waist as they kissed slowly and tenderly.
