Through long battles by recognized figures such as General Francisco Morazán , today Honduras is a country free of slavery and is a free, sovereign and independent country.
This is why all Hondurans join in this great celebration through spectacular parades, led by bands, stickmen, cadets, flag bearers and, in addition, by the entire public who gladly celebrate their participation.
This year, some 73 schools will parade in the capital to pay tribute to the country through spectacular parades of educational institutions such as: El Central Vicente Cáceres , Renacer, Instituto Saúl Zelaya Jiménez, Superación San Francisco, among others.
