β¨ THE HERBERTS MANSION π
“What?!” Fired Cloe as she noticed all eyes were fixed on her.
Mr Herbert was short of words that he just dropped his spoon and walked away. This is not the first nor the second time such a thing is happening. For Christ sake, this has been going on for year’s now.
“Cloe.” Lina, Cloe’s mother called in a low calm voice.
“What is it again?” She fumed.
“Apologise to aunt Rasin now” commanded Lina and Cloe looked at her mother in bewilderment.
“Like seriously? Mom, you want me to apologise to this thing?” She pointed at Rasin.
“Cloe, behave yourself, aunt Rasin is old enough to be our mother.” Cautioned Joy, Cloe’s older sister.
Cloe stood up and walked towards Rasin with her arms folded.
“You know what joy, I’ve got one mother and this thing can never be my mother. This poor beggar. Gosh!” She scoffed.
“Cloe!!” Yelled Mrs Herbert and Cloe raised her hands.
“Yap, that’s my name.” She paused. “If I apologise, are you not gonna give her her payment for this month?” She asked.
“And what does that have to do with the apology?” Asked Lina.
“Ooh mom, am Cloe Herbert and my apology is enough to feed this poor beggar for the rest of her life” she blubber.
“Cloe!! Go you your room now!!” Fired Mrs herbert.
“Of course, I will. But mom, warn this thing to prepare something good next time. I almost said hi to the devil cos of the trash she prepared. In fact, why don’t you just fire her?”
“To your room now!!!”
“Whatever” she picked her phone and walked to her room.
Mrs Herbert looked at the maid whose uniform was all stained with the food that Cloe had just emptied on her.
“Rina, please pardon her manners,” said Mrs Herbert and Rina stood up from the ground laughing sarcastically.
“Pardon her mother? For how long do I have to pardon her manners?” She runs her fingers in her hair in frustration.
“For christ sake, she is not a baby anymore, she is twelve!!”
“Please calm down. ”
“Calm down? Mrs Herbert, I can’t take it anymore. I quit!!” She fired.
“No, don’t quit, please. It’s hard to find someone like you.” “Fine, tell me how much should I add to your salary?” Asked Mrs herbert.
“Add? It’s not about money but my life. By the way. Find someone else for that your daughter to sacrifice. Am out of this place” she fires before running into her room to pack up.
Mrs Herbert used her left hand to support her head which felt as enormous as a barrel.
“Cloe, you will kill me one day” she took a deep breath.
THE PENFORT MANSION π
Starmil sat down on the stairs looking so gloomy.
“What’s up big bro,” said imstar as he sat next to starmil.
“Imstar, can you imagine that potato headed principal flogged me.”
“What?! Really? When? Why didn’t you tell me about this early?” Said Imstar.
“I just told you now though,” starmil said and Imstar scoffed.
“Whatever. So tell me, what should I do with this principal? Do you want him dead or alive?” Star put his arms around Mil.
“You already know what to do. Just do the needful and will give you the reward” Mil winked at Star.
“Eee, that’s my big bro. Count it as mission accomplished.” Giggled Star.
In no time, the bodyguards picked the twins bag into the car waiting outside to take them to school.
𧑠IMSTARS POV π§‘
it was exactly 8 am when the car parked outside Kirkland academy. As soon as the car come to a halt, I stepped out and in no time, I found myself in the principal’s office.
“Goodmorning Mr Cameron” I greeted as I stood before him.
He looked at me through the corner of his glasses and I almost laughed. Of course, he looks like a wizard every time he does that.
“Starmil penfort, how may I help you this time around?” He asked jolting down something on his notebook.
“Am, sir am just here to apologize about yesterday. I know I made a huge mistake and I deserved more than a beating” I pouted my lips as I watched his reaction.
He removed his glasses and his drunken looking eyes were revealed.
“I hope you are not trying to play tricks with me,” he said and I smiled.
“Mr Cameron, you know am not that kind of kid” I added low tone.
“Okay fine. By the way, can you get me a glass of water” he said and I left the room.
In no time, I come back with a glass of water and pressed it on the table.
“Here it is. Sir” I said.
“Thank you. You may go” he said and I bowed before finding my way out.
As soon as I banged the door behind me, I heard a scream.
“Starmil!!!!!!” He shouted and in no time uncontrollable cough followed. I couldn’t help but burst into hysterical laughter.
