“What are you here for?” I asked tiredly not caring if my tone was disrespectful. She has taken everything from me so it’s better she finishes it up by taking my life.

“You forget that I am still your mother”

“You killed my mother” I said through gritted teeth.

She was silent so I continued.

“If you are here to kill me, you can go ahead do me a favor and make it painless” I laid down on my bed with my eyes closed, waiting for her to strike me dead.

“I am not here to kill you”

I laughed dryly, as if she hasn’t killed me yet.

“So you are here to mock me?”

“When you speak to me I advice you talk respectfully”

“I’ll talk to you however I like, I have nothing to loose”

My eyes flew open as I felt hands squeeze my neck. I struggled to breathe and before I knew it I was suspicious in the air, wheezing for breath.

If it was destined that my death would be painful then so be it but I wouldn’t give her satisfaction by begging.

“What about now” she asked, her white eyes danced with amusement.

” Damn….. You” I wheezed. With a slam I dropped to the ground, the hands that were strangling me got I released leaving me to cough for breath.

“It’s a shame you want to die when I have an important task for you”

“You are the reason I want to die, you’ve destroyed my life” I said feeling my neck with my hand.

“If you do this task for me I’ll leave you forever” the offer was tempting but I meant it when I said I wanted nothing to do with her.

“I am not interested” I stood, my knees still weak and wobbly from the fall so I sat on the bed.

“I’ll make you rich, extremely rich and I’ll leave you alone for good”

“Argh” I dug my fingers inside my hair. The decision was a difficult one to take. Poverty was the reason I wanted to take my life but if I was rich everything would be fine again.

I thought about it for what seems liked hours but I knew my answer.

“I accept”
