Smokes enveloped the car, and fire started burning on the body, illuminating the surroundings.
A black car screeched roughly into the area, halting right in front of the car.
Killian literally jumped out of it, and horror filled his eyes when he witnessed what’s going on.
Last time he felt real fear was when he was locked in darkness as a kid, but even that fear became scared of him when he learnt how to embrace it, but right now that he’s looking at Zinnia’s burning car, his heart began sinking.
Without thinking, he ran madly to the car and landed his fist on the window, punching it so hard that the glass shattered.
Fire caught his shirt in the process, but he quickly yanked it off and pulled the door open.
Thankfully, the fire is still just at the back of the car, it hasn’t gotten to Zinnia’s spot.
He heaped her up in his arms and took her far from the fire.
Immediately he set her down at a safe distance, the car blew up completely, and he quickly covered her with his frame so the explosion wouldn’t affect her.
Heavy breaths ran out of him, and sweat journeyed down his temples in streams as he kept kneeling there, her small body beneath him.
After getting the weird call from her earlier, he had to pick up the main points from what she said, and that was how he found out her location.
Why is his to-kill list getting longer? Now he wants to skin whoever did this alive.
Slowly, he pulled himself away from her, and his eyes settled on her face.
The fire heat didn’t do damages to her skin, and she sustained no wound.
He touched her pulse point with his thumb, and when he felt the race, he sighed softly.
There are smears of tears in the corner of her eye.
He was about to wipe them with his fingers when his head almost fell from his neck.
Someone hit something vengefully on his head, and blood trickled out in rivulets, dropping on Zinnia’s face.
His eyes turned crazily, and he growled as he stood on his feet, his surroundings tumbling around him.
The culprit tried to hit him on the head again, but he turned before the pipe could reach him, and his emotions-stripped eyes twitched when he saw the faces of the Stone couple.
Their hands were shaking on the metal pipes they’re holding, but they still tried hard to maintain their stand.
The husband threw the pipe at Killian, but he caught it and threw it back
It hit the wife on the throat, and she staggered backwards before falling on the ground, blood pouring out of her mouth.
The husband shifted back,fear written in his eyes, but it didn’t take long before Killian’s hand grabbed him.
He fought viciously…he did for real.
The Stone clan is one of the strongest in the organization, and it’s because of their powerful boss, but even a boss has a master.
Killian broke his neck, and his broken bone was already protruding on the neck when he lifted his limp body and threw it forward.
It landed on the burning car, and the fire intensified instantly, burning him.
Killian picked the wife and did the same to her.
The fire burn brighter as it did justice to the couple.
Killian stood devilishly, watching the beautiful scene with a satisfactory gleam in his eyes.
“Cameo” Zinnia’s voice made his head snap back, and he was already with her within a second.
He knelt beside her and lifted her head to his laps.
Her eyes are slightly opened, and there are tears in them right now.
“Zinnia” he caressed her earlobes, and she released the tears when she saw the blood on his face.
“Your..what happened to your…head? Why the…the blood” she stuttered.
“I’m fine… can’t even feel the pain” he replied, but she even cried harder.
“I thought I was gonna die…I really did” she sobbed.
“You can’t die without me… save that in your memory” he replied, and she nodded twice, her eyes opening wider.
He wiped her tears and crushed them on his finger pads.
“And I can’t live without you either…I saw the paintings” she said, and he smiled lightly.
“You like them?”
“I love them so much… You started falling for me the night you saw me at the park? The first night we met” she sniffled, rubbing the underside of his hand.
He kept up the silence, and she smiled.
“You fell first after all” she said, and he smiled again.
“Does that make you happy?” He said.
“Everything about you makes me happy, baby” she replied, and she saw his eyes glint with interest as he swept her into his arms.
She held his shoulders as he started taking her to his car.
“I missed your scent” she sniffed him in.
“It’s mutual, and his royal majesty missed you too” he replied, and she looked up at him.
His eyes shone with mischief.
“His royal…wait…it’s not what I’m thinking, right?” She said.
“What are you thinking?” He deadpanned, settling her inside the car.
“You named your dîck?” She whispered.
“Mmm-hmm” he shrugged.
“Who does that! You’re crazy!” She laughed, her eyes thinning.
“As fûck” he replied, strapping her seat belt on her.
“And hot” she teased, making him smile again.
If only she could get a list of things to say to make him smile every second, she’d do it.
She’s so addicted to his smile.
She unstrapped the belt from herself, then she followed him to the driver’s seat.
He sat, and she straddled him, face on his neck.
He drove off like that, and before he even got to half of the journey, she already slept off .
Her scent kept drawing him into her, and he nearly fell asleep on the wheel too.
She’s an excessive addiction.

Relief washed over Karen when she ran into Jordan’s ward and met him awake on the bed already.

She stopped talking when she heard no sound from him, and she saw him smiling at her.

“Go on, you look cute while talking non-stop” he said, and she pouted, making him chuckle.
“I was poisoned with a weird something, but mother dearest sorted it out. You can make me into pancakes right now cos I have a large deposit of bean-powder in my system” he said, and she started laughing.
“Seriously?”
“Yeah..the antidote is bean-powder, so…” She shrugged.
“Oh… I’m glad you’re back…to me” she said awkwardly.
“Sound less awkward” he replied seriously.
“I’m glad you’re back to me” she repeated the words with ease, blushing cutely.
Red painted her cheeks.
“Come here, little red” he pulled her to himself.
She fell on him in bed, and she bit her lip when he wrapped his arms around her .
“Hardin said you have a message for me” she whispered.
“After I get out of this shitty hospital” he replied, and she smiled again before closing her eyes, feeling at peace.

ANOTHER WARD, 7AM*
Vivian could be seen sobbing in front of the ward with Rigel and Bruno beside her.
Nica is inside the ward. She has been admitted since she was shot by Gabriel last night, and her state is quiet critical.
Gabriel didn’t even run after shooting her, he sat with her body till the cops arrived, and he’s currently locked up.
Aurora joined them in front of the ward shortly
“Is she better?” She asked Vivian.
“No your ladyship. Her doctor told us to prepare for the worse. I can’t believe she woke up from coma only to encounter this disaster. Why the hell would she go to Gabriel when she knew what she did to him? ” Vivian sniffled.
Aurora sighed with difficulty.
“Did you inform Zinn about this already?”
“No ”
“Then inform her as soon as possible” Aurora said.
Vivian nodded, and Aurora took Rigel’s hand.
“Hey… Handsome” She smiled.
The boy only smiled back… That’s the only thing he could do anyways since he’s mute.
He has been that way since birth, he can’t talk.
Aurora took him away for some morning coffee, and Alyssa came for Bruno.
They went to the end of the hallway together, and he sighed.
“I met your brother one-on-one yesterday, and I almost peed myself” he said.
“Which of them? ” She smiled.
“Who do you think? Wildfire!” He replied, and she started laughing.
“Seriously?”
“Trust me! I nearly died… He’s too intimidating. Now I get why he’s feared” he replied.
“You only have to make sure you don’t offend him. I mean… Don’t be too close to Zinn, and you’ll be good. He’s actually cool” Alyssa said.
“No he’s not” he shook his head, and she grinned.
“How have you been though? The war has been tough since last night and i even heard Ray is gone” He said.
“I’m fine, so far I have my brothers and mother” she shrugged.
“Well then…see you in school tommorow” he said and tried to leave, but she pulled him back.
Before he knew it, she planted a quick kiss on his lips.
“See ya!” She winked, skipping away.
Bruno shook his head, smiling as he left the corner too.

BENNETT’S MANSION, 9AM*
Donna Bennet came downstairs late and found her husband at the dinning already, getting served by the maids.
She ignored him and started going for the kitchen…
“Where is Honoria? Is she planning to spend all her day inside her room?” Don Bennett asked.
“Isn’t it worth it? You dropped a time bomb on her head last night so allow her the rest!” Donna snapped crankily.
“What time bomb? I was being merciful by telling you myself! It’d have been worse if she heard it outside!” Don Bennett stood.
“What are you saying? Having that Misfit girl as your daughter will never be a good news! How do you want Honoria to cope with the girl she hates most in the world as her half sister!” Donna yelled.
The scream of a maid upstairs broke their argument, and they both ascended the stairs as fast as light.
They got to Honoria’s room and met the maid in tears beside her bed.
Honoria is lying lifelessly on the bed, drool pooling in her open mouth.
“Ria! Ria what’s going on!” Donna jumped on the bed with her.
When she carried her lifeless body and felt the limpness, she screamed out in panic.
“No no Hono you can’t! What’s happening call an ambulance!!!!”
Don Bennett stood speechless, but his hand was shaking as he picked the note lying on the bedstand.
